Nemacolin D&D / Fallingwater

Description

This long-time favorite has returned for 2017. It combines an enjoyable drive to Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands, either 2 or 3 nights at the incredibly beautiful Nemacolin Resort, fine dining, scenic drives, and for those who have never seen them – a jawdropping tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s legendary Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob homes.

For those who would like to make it a three day weekend, Mike Dougher will lead the scenic drive toward Nemacolin on Thursday, July 6.

The group will meet for cocktails that night, and a driving/touring day to some of the nearby resort towns on Friday. For those coming up on Nemacolin on Friday, July 7, Glenn Havinoviski will lead the group over the scenic drive. On Friday night, we will all get together for a BBQ on the deck of Mulligan's clubhouse overlooking the Golf Course.

On Saturday, participants have the choice of participating in one or more activities, including he visit to Kentuck Knob, golf, a mountain drive, and a Skeet Shooting Tournament. There is also ziplining, an art collection, the animal park, off-roading, and more. Guests can also just relax and enjoy the spa, enjoy the casino, and a plethora of other hotel facilities. Check out www.nemacolin.com/activities.

Saturday night, we will have a change of pace compared to previous years. We will have dinner away from the resort (about 9 miles) at a nice Italian place called Fabrizi's Cucina Fresca, where they are reserving the entire restaurant for us! They have an awesome menu with wide range of pasta, pizza, and higher-end entrees, along with adult beverages. Everyone will pay their own way. We will provide a shuttle to the restaurant (included in your registration fee and recommended if you want to enjoy some vino or harder stuff). Check out their menu at www.fabrizis.com.

Sunday, participants can choose to relax at the resort, attend the Fallingwater tour or enjoy a mountain drive back home.

The registration cost for 2017 is $140 per person which covers the Friday BBQ dinner, as well as shuttle service to the Saturday night restaurant (dinner and drinks will be paid separately there), and finally, an official commemorative souvenir article of clothing! Kentuck Knob tour fees are $20 per person and Fallingwater tour fees are $25 per person, both representing substantial discounts over the purchase of single tickets.

The Nemacolin resort is one of only 6 hotels and resorts in the world to host Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond lodging and dining, and has been upgraded continuously over the past decade. We have negotiated a $279 per night room rate (not including taxes / resort fees) in the luxurious Chateau Lafayette building, a substantial savings over the rack rate. We have a block of 35 rooms.

You can register for the event and find out more about hotel registration at: msreg.org/NemacolinDnD2017. YOU MUST BOOK YOUR HOTEL AND REGISTER FOR THE TOUR EVENT BY NO LATER THAN JUNE 6.

Look forward to seeing you!
