As the saying goes, “it’s not just the cars, it’s the people!” As the founding region of Porsche Club of America (PCA), the Potomac region has over 2,800 primary members, and we have a variety of activities throughout the year.
Besides our heart-pumping driving programs like high-performance Driver’s Education and Autocross, we have Drive and Dine events where you can join other Porsche drivers to enjoy a scenic drive to a nearby restaurant or vineyard. And if you like being spontaneous and would rather meet other members in a more casual setting, join us every first Saturday of the month at Firebirds in Gainesville, second Saturday of the month at the Silver Dinner in Falls Church, or for brunch the third Saturday of the month at The Irish Inn in Glen Echo.
If you’re particularly smitten with the cars, the Concours events are for you! In the Fall, PCA joins forces with the Mercedes and BMW clubs in the "Deutsche Marque Concours d'Elegance". Where else can you see a collection of the best German cars ever made lined up in one location?
And if you really want thrills, come watch or volunteer at the Club Race at Summit Point, West Virginia. Or better yet, get your race license and join the race!
The Quarterly Open Board Meetings are another opportunity to meet up with friends, enjoy refreshments, and learn about the club. We usually have the meetings at different locations which will be listed on Potomac’s calendar. Other popular events include our PorscheFest dinner, and our annual Potomac picnic and Holiday Party.
