On a crisp Sunday morning Porsche Club of America Founders Region Potomac Chapter members joined with Penske Automotive Group, Mercedes-Benz of Tysons Corner, and the Greater Washington Mercedes Benz Club for a car show raising support for the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
The Penske Mercedes Benz dealership (same as Porsche of Tysons) opened up their two showroom floors and service lane for a fabulous display of a dozen new and classic Mercedes (1953 170S to a 2017 SLR McLaren), six Porsches representing 54 years of Porsche design, two Ferraris (F12 Berlinetta and 488GTB), one McLaren (MP4 12C), and a sole 1968 VW Beetle.
PCA Potomac members Bill Lightfoot displayed his uber rare red 1965 356C Carrera 2 GS 2000 four-cam and Ron Davis (former PCA Potomac Concours Chair) displayed his red 1964 356SC (see picture below). Two more air cooled classics were on display, a blue 1972 914 1.8 and Kevin Naughten's Pewter Metallic 1982 911sc Targa with 285,000 miles. Porsche of Tysons displayed a yellow 2017 718 Boxter and a dark grey 2018 Panamera 4 Sport Tourismo. The event drew a large crowd raising approximately $1,000 for the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
