OCTOBER Der Vorgänger MAGAZINE
The October issue of DV has been posted on the Potomac website (https://pcapotomac.org/magazine) and will arrive in your mailbox in about ten days.
In this issue, we highlight program activities of the Fall HPDC at Summit Point, the Maryland Fall Drive & Dine to the Bavarian Inn, and the Tire Rack Street Survival Class of 2024. But wait – there’s more! We are an adventurous lot: Many Potomacans ventured to the PCA Zone 2 Boardwalk Reunion in Ocean City, NJ, and Cindy Choi shares a grand cross-country road journey the length of Route 66. There was a swarm of sharks (928’s) in Sterling. Ken Marks also brings you a report on the IMSA “Battle on the Bricks” race at Indy. Enjoy!

Proposed Potomac Region Revised Bylaws
To bring the Potomac Region Bylaws into compliance with the PCA National Bylaws, the Potomac Executive Committee collaborated extensively with the PCA Policy Committee to finalize the necessary changes. The proposed revised Bylaws, endorsed by the PCA Policy Committee, will be presented for a vote at the Potomac Annual Membership Meeting on December 7, 2024. In preparation for the meeting, we are sharing the revised Bylaws and a summary of the major updates. A redlined version of our current Bylaws is also available for review.
Monthly Brunches
Monthly Brunches - First and Third Saturdays
The easiest way to start participating in PCA Potomac is to attend one of our monthly brunches where we casually get together on the first Saturday of the month in Gainesville, Virginia and third Saturday of the month in Glen Echo, Maryland. This is a great way to meet other Porsche enthusiasts, talk about your cars, maybe trade some tips, or just hang out and enjoy the morning. Everyone is welcome, including newcomers, out of town PCA members and visitors from any region.
VIRGINIA
Firebird's Wood-Fired Grill
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
14020 Promenade Commons St.
Gainesville, VA 20155
https://gainesville.firebirdsrestaurants.com/
Virginia Brunch is the first Saturday of each month held at Firebird's Wood-Fired Grille. There is substantial parking coming off Linton Hall Road so we can park together. We will stake out a parking area that is a short walk to the restaurant. The restaurant opens at 11 am, so plan on arriving before so we can park together.
MARYLAND
The Irish Inn at Glen Echo
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
6119 Tulane Avenue
Glen Echo, Maryland 20812
Telephone: 301-229-6600

Maryland Brunch is the third Saturday of each month held at The Irish Inn in Glen Echo, MD beginning at 11:00 AM. Depending on the weather we either sit outside or have a private room upstairs inside. The Irish Inn is just off MacArthur Boulevard and can be easily accessed from the Clara Barton Parkway by taking the Washington/Glen Echo exit. Parking is available in front and behind the restaurant.
